New Beginnings

Wow, I bet you are wondering who is making this post. Well, it is I, your friend and buddy, Aaron. I know that I haven't every posted before, but I hear that every now and then some one posts something on this thing. Well, here I go, I hope that everyone reads this entire post. You may be able to help me out.

I have titled this post "New Beginnings" and that is what I want to do, start something new. I am not saying that we are going to change everything about our youth group, but we need to start over on some things. Let's start by me trying to commit on checking this blog and posting every now-and-then to get to know some of you better. I know that you are probably thinking about what needs to be changed and how are we going to change it. Well, we all know of several things that need to be changed, and how we are going to change these things depends on you. I would like to start talking to each of you individaully on Sunday mornings. I want to get to know you better and understand you. I want you to be able to come up to me and see me as a friend and someone you can trust. I want you to be able to lean on me for gidance. I am your friend. All of you have great potental to be great leaders in this youth group. I know that all of us want to see this youth group grow spiritually and physically. You know, I know you get tired of hearing about Unity and so am I, lets show Hope, Arkansas that Calvary is the best youth group in the city and state. I know that all of you want to be proud of your fellow youth and encourage them, let's unite as one and show Hope that we are serious.

If you ever need anything from me, please do not be afraid to call or email me, please let me know what is going on in your lives so that I can rejoice with you and cry with you. I will be the first to tell you that I really do not know what I am doing. When Calvary hired me, I was scared and I will always be scared if I can not gain everyone's trust. Thank you for bearing with me for the past 9 months, now the beginning stages have gone, let's all work together to further the kingdom of God. I love all of you, I hope that you know that. Let me leave you with a few last things.

A new pastor moved into town and went out one Saturday to visit his parishioners. All went well until he came to one house. It was obvious that someone was home, but no one came to the door even after he had knocked several times. Finally, he took out his card and wrote on the back: Revelation 3:20 and stuck it in the door.
The next day, as he was counting the offering he found his card in the collection plate. Below his message was the notation Genesis 3:10.
Revelation 3:20 reads: "Behold I stand at the door and knock. If any man hear my voice, and opens the door, I will come in to him, and will dine with him, and he with me."
Genesis 3:10 reads: "And he said, I heard thy voice in the garden, and I was afraid, because I was naked."

Just thought I would try to put a smile on some of your faces. Don't try this at home.

See you all tomorrow.
