Well guys, whatcha think about this? We've officially got ourselves a new leader! This is what we've been praying about this whole time. Obviously, it is worth a discussion.
I want to hear from you guys. Tell us what's on your mind - are you excited, thankful, relieved? Are there some concerns you want to share - maybe some confusion about where we go from here? Whatever is on your mind, please feel free to share it honestly.
As for me, I'll have to be completely honest with you guys and tell you that, for the past week or so, I've been really concerned about what we just voted on tonight. It's an important issue and needs to be carefully considered.
Some of the concerns I've had involve such things as logistical issues - the distance and all. But I have total faith that, if this is God's will, stuff like that will all work out.
Other concerns I've had deal less with Aaron and more about our group and the direction it's going. I pray that our group is ready for what God wants to do through Aaron Craton. Especially in the past few weeks, I've become convinced that we are. Some awesome things have been happening in the past few months and I'm certain that it has been God's work in preparing us all for this.
I also pray that I have done my part, what little part He's given me, in showing you guys the right direction. It's been awesome working with you all these past couple months and I pray that I can continue to do that. I can't even begin to tell you all what it's done for me. You all have been more of a ministry to me than I have been to you, believe me.
Anyway, there's probably much more that can be said here, but I'm anxious to get this posted and start hearing from you all, so I'm going to stop here. I want to suggest that we focus on this issue for the moment. Try to keep this post the most current for at least a day or so. And give us your thoughts.

Well I think he is gonna be a good leader I meen he's talked to us before and most of us liked him. And he's not an old guy who likes to play chess al the time. And don't even point at Gary he's still a child at heart. But I'm just playin bout all that. I thin this youth minister will be worth it. We all prayed for him.
I'm excited to see where we go from here. Aaron seems like a really great guy. But I try not to really establish an opinion about someone until I at least try and get to know them a bit better.
I'm just staying open to what their ideas are for our youth group at the moment. =)
Not sure if anyone is still keeping up with this thread, but I wanted to say how impressed I've been with Aaron now that he's starting to get settled in. He's really shown himself to be responsible and organized, and what I've seen of his teaching has been really good too.
